The next IHOOPS meeting is this Tuesday 5th Feb, 7pm at Islington Town Hall.
We have agreed that the disgraceful cuts to benefits, which will hit the poorest hard, is an important area for us to campaign on. Many people are still unaware of what the changes are and the huge impact it will have on many people who are already struggling to make ends meet. Many people will be forced to move out of their homes because of cuts to housing benefit making it impossible for them to pay their rent.
We are planning a public meeting for late March/early April in order to raise awareness on this issue and work with other groups to campaign against them. Please join us on Tuesday to help plan for this important meeting.
Many of you will be aware of the plans to sell-off buildings and land which are vital to the services provided by Whittington Hospital. Please see below information from Defend Whittington Hospital campaign about the various actions being taken to stop the sell out. Please spread the work and come to the public meeting.
